GREENVILLE — 2018 marks the 45th annual International Seaplane Fly-In to be held Sept. 6-9, at Moosehead Lake.
Thousands of participants and spectators come to the Moosehead Region for the annual event, which is put on by the International Seaplane Fly-In Association. The group provides a scholarship each year to a deserving high school student who plans to further his/her education in some field related to aviation.
Registration is $25 beginning at 1 p.m. at Moosehead Aero Marine on Lower Lincoln Street, and moves to Katahdin parking lot at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6.
Camping at the airport is on a first come first served basis and costs $50.
There are lots of activities and special meals all weekend, including a Kate dinner cruise for $60, lobster/steak dinner for $50, awards banquet for $40, poker run, free band music by Maine St. R&B, public breakfasts and other meals, craft fair Saturday and Sunday, 5K run/walk, Stobie Hangar contests, and more.
